George Lapin, an avid sailor (owner of the big yellow D18) and frequent RC member at Marsh Creek died suddenly Saturday night.
George was a fine man and we were privileged to have known him these past few years. George was cheerful, helpful, and loved the water. Although he spent more time at the shore, he was also immensely helpful to our little sailing club at Marsh Creek (PA) State Park, grinning while shouldering far more than his share of the duties. Those from Nockamixon may remember him as the MCSC rep on RC for last fall’s laser/Sunfish regatta at NSC.
Per George’s wishes, his ashes will be spread on the water where he loved to sail near their summer place on the Jersey shore.
In lieu of services, his wife Lauren is hosting an open house at their Wayne, PA residence this coming Saturday.
Contact Debbie and Randy for details; it would be nice to have good MCSC representation. please send this note along to others who may have been close with him.
regards,
randy
