Life Jackets are required at the Marsh Creek Lake while racing. We are in state park and need to obey State Regulations.
Boaters are required, by law, to wear life jackets on boats less than 16 feet in length or any canoe or kayak during the cold weather months from November 1 through April 30. This is enforced by Park and State officials and you may get a ticket.
For dingy sailing “Buoyancy Aids” are often used by sailors, use at your own risk. You need to be a good swimmer when using Buoyancy Aid instead of USCG approved life jacket. See official position of US Sailing on PDFs on life jackets.
